Asian Student Union aims to unite & strengthen the Asian community by tackling AAPI issues and raising cultural awareness. As their graphic designer, I designed for a variety of large scale cultural events for the BU community in print collateral, visual systems, and illustrations.
For ASU merchandise, I illustrated a playful characters engaging with notable ASU events, including Breaking Boundaries, Moonlight Ball, and EASUP. The design reinforces ASU's community spirit by showcasing its traditions through a welcoming visual language. Graphics created to promote bonding events on campus. ASU x BU Dining Hall Services 2025Event Identity created to celebrate Lunar New Year at Boston University, in collaboration with the Marciano Dining Hall services. Poster, social media promo posts, and menu design were created to be displayed at Marciano Dining Hall, along with designed giveaway slips for students to win prizes.
ASU’s first-ever Lunar New Year Dining Hall celebration offered students a taste of home and a space to celebrate together. I was proud to plan and brand this inaugural event, helping bring a meaningful cultural tradition to campus :)

Cultural performance group inside Marciano dining hall! Breaking Boundaries 2024 Promotional campaign for Breaking Boundaries, ASU’s annual event spotlighting influential AAPI voices. The 2026 program featured bestselling author R.F. Kuang, known for The Poppy War trilogy, Babel, and Yellowface. To promote R.F. Kuang’s campus reading and discussion of Yellowface, I designed collage-based graphics that explore the novel’s themes of identity, appropriation, and manipulation. Oversized yellow collage elements overwhelm the compositions, reflecting the ways these forces can eclipse authentic voices.
I helped design a series of limited-edition risograph bookmarks for the event, printed on a variety of colored papers. The hybrid analog-digital process produced subtle variations in each print, making every bookmark a unique keepsake for book-lovers.
